Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control processes for engineering and construction projects.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Review and approve project plans, specifications, and materials to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, and quality records.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address non-conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present quality reports, progress updates, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest quality management systems, tools, and industry best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Quality Engineer certification (e.g., CQE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within the engineering and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with project management and construction oversight is a plus.
