Job Description
- Share Responsibility with Shift engineer for all technical operations related to the hotel,
both inside and outside of the facilities.
2 Ensure that all of the units, facilities and equipment in the hotel are working, maintained
and repaired. Operate these in the most economical manner, according to the technical
rules and changing needs of the facilities and without compromising the quality
promised to customers. Responsible for preparing and implementing the expenditure
budget to carry out these operations.
3 Ensure that the periodic maintenance and repairs for all of the buildings, machines and
equipment in the facilities is carried out according to the planned maintenance and
repair methods.
4 Assign facility employees with the appropriate qualities to carry out maintenance and
repairs or outsource such work to quality technical service providers.
- Take the necessary measures to protect the hotel and defend it against fires and natural
disasters and train the employees in this area.
- Take part in the Emergency Response Teams and lead the Fire Extinguishing Team.
- Ensure that the technical service workshops and storage houses are up and running and
are used to the maximum extent possible.
- Take samples of water (drinking, potable, pool, and sea) on a periodic basis, get the
samples analyses at authorized laboratories, document the results and, if necessary, report
to the respective departments.
- Carry out all other tasks related to the position that are assigned by the General
Manager.
- Ensure that requests for repairs or replacements placed by guests, employees and hotel
management concerning internal and external equipment are met in a timely manner.
- Cooperate with other departments for energy control.
- Train related employees in other departments on energy control and savings.
- Analyse the operations of the hotel tools, devices and machines for annual energy saving
programmer.
- In line with the departmental budget, identify external subcontractors and vendors that match
the quality standards and price policy; oversee the preparation of purchase orders; and,
approve invoices.
- Ensure that the inventory lists of departmental spare parts, tools and supplies are
prepared.
- Responsible for delivering the necessary trainings to and inspecting departmental
employees.
- Prepare the fit-out schedules to ensure that the hotel building, and surroundings comply with
applicable laws.
- Provide a clean and orderly work environment in the department.
- Ensure that all of the controls required by law are carried out for the technical units.
- Manage and audit the department according to the policies, procedures and instructions
identified by the hotel general management, set targets, and communicate and ensure
adoption of these targets.
- Take part in the Food Safety Team and attend the MR meetings.
- Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented
at the facilities.
- Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified

- Must take all measures required for occupational and worker health and comply with
all measures taken.
Qualifications
Education: At least a vocational college diploma.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of related work experience or 2 years work
experience in a lower position and experience with applying the main principles and/or
different methods.
Foreign Language: Intermediate level English.
Courses and Training: Requires sufficient theoretical and practical background and
attendance in courses and seminars in the related field.
Computer Literacy: MS Office applications, automation knowledge.
Skills: Detailed and comprehensive command of systems/legislation in the related
field. Expected to offer consulting to other employees when needed. Responsible for
carrying out and coordinating complex activities in different fields.
