As a Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the organization's data assets to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the project data management process for network and facility assets. This involves ensuring that data is complete and validated to support operation readiness.
- Support quality assurance and control measures to ensure accuracy of data validation and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage MOC process for project data related activities including Class Library and CFIHOS mandated updates.
- Manage day to day work schedule of data managers and business partners in relation to project asset data deliverables, guided by clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Aid in the resolution of data discrepancies and non-conformities of submitted through data validation process, working closely with contractors and the project team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify data requirements and resolve data-related issues.
- Support the Project Data Lead in managing the flow of information between project environments and the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Assist in the data flow integration design for Water Sector’s systems, including GIS, BIM & EAM.
- Monitor data quality and compliance with established standards and procedures. Implement or communicate corrective measures to maintain the integrity of data throughout its project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of data-related reports and insights for stakeholders.
- Work with the Operations Readiness and Assurance team to ensure data consistency and reliability for operational use.
- Support the management of the Water Sector Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW), including the Management of Changes (MOC) for the Reference Library.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Asset Data Framework and related procedures.
- Collaborate with data lead and project stakeholders to gather technical requirements and ensure that documentation meets both technical and user needs.
- Propose and support the implementation of improvements and developments in systems and processes.
متطلبات الوظيفة
- 10+ years of experience in engineering data management, preferably within the water infrastructure or construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering, project management related degree, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of asset data modelling (Asset Class Library) and industry standard data handover specifications (e.g. CFIHOS, COBie/IFC, BIM).
- Solid grasp of project engineering data lifecycle, from design to operation and maintenance
- Strong data wrangling skills, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, advanced Excel, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of engineering data warehouse (specifically Datum360 suites) will be preferred.
- Excellent working experience in creating insightful reports using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise and effectively influence various project stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
