Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of the senior designer (interior designer / draftsman) is to transform client visions into reality by combining creative design with technical precision. You’ll develop design concepts, select materials, create mood boards, and present ideas to clients. Additionally, you’ll prepare detailed CAD drawings, ensure compliance with building codes, coordinate with stakeholders, and assist in project documentation. Regular site visits and staying updated with industry trends are essential.

Operational Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.2. Develop creative and functional design concepts that meet client requirements.
• Present design ideas and concepts to clients and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technology.
• Prepare detailed architectural and interior design drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, and develop and maintain accurate and precise CAD drawings.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other designers to integrate design intent into technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to take measurements and assess project progress.
• Ensure project success by coordinating with suppliers and other stakeholders and revising drawings based on feedback.
  
  

Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

• A bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or another relevant field.2. Proven experience as an Interior Designer and Draftsman.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• UAE Driving license

• Experience in conducting site surveys, taking measurements, and assessing project progress.2. Proven experience as an interior designer within a fit-out company.
