Fleet Operations Manager (First Mile)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations First Mile Fleet team, ensuring efficient and reliable first mile process
• Dealing with our fleet vendors ensuring they are providing the needed planned couriers HC.
• Manage a team of fleet coordinators and supervisors to optimize the first mile routing, scheduling, and vehicle upkeep
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency, on-time delivery, and other critical metrics
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to maximize vehicle uptime and reduce breakdowns
• Analyze first mile fleet data to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency, such as route optimization, load balancing, and driver performance management
• Research and evaluate new fleet technologies to enhance first mile fleet operations
• Provide regular reports and updates on First Mile Fleet performance to senior management
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fleet operations management, preferably in the E-commerce or shipping industry
• Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Proficient in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and other relevant technologies
• Thorough understanding of transportation regulations, vehicle maintenance requirements, and industry best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Adaptable to changing business needs and able to implement process improvements
• Familiarity with sustainability and environmentally-friendly fleet initiatives is a plus
