UI Definition

User interface design (UI) is the process of creating interfaces in software or computerized devices, focusing on looks and the overall feel or style of a design. 

UI involves aspects of interaction design, visual design (such as choosing colors schemes, typography and images.. etc), designing all elements (such as buttons, forms, icons, menus, labels.. etc.), and UI design principles that should guide UI decisions such as accessibility, usability, navigation, and consistency.

Designers aim to create interfaces that users find easy to use and pleasurable.

What you’ll be doing

• Research industry trends, standards, and new technologies for use in UI design projects. 
• Conduct visual research, create mood boards.
• Establishing and promoting design guidelines, layouts, visual hierarchy, data visualization, best practices, and standards.
• Create visual concepts and design solutions for user interfaces for software applications (websites, mobile apps “iOS & Android”, web apps, internal systems, and dashboards) while staying within the confines of brand guidelines. 
• Develop UI mockups, prototypes, and style guides. 
• Creating a design system for all elements and UI components.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the successful execution of designs within technical constraints and timelines.
• Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineers.
• Test UI designs to identify any potential usability issues or bugs prior to launch.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends in web design and mobile applications in order to apply them appropriately on projects.
• Presenting your designs and project deliverables to clients and evaluate feedback.
