UX Definition

User Experience Design (UXD or UX) is a design process that focuses on shaping the experience of using a product and enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product. 

UX involves aspects of interaction design, usability, user research, competitive analysis, human-computer interaction (HCI), content architecture/strategy, accessibility, inclusivity.. etc

The goal of UXD is to create products that are easy to use and provide an enjoyable experience for users.

What you’ll be doing

• Analyzing business objectives and user requirements
• Conducting user research to understand user needs and behaviors. 
• Creating user personas and competitive analysis 
• Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, prototypes, user flows. 
• Designing mid-fedility wireframes that provide a positive experience for users by following industry best practices for usability and accessibility standards. 
• Collaborating with product owners and product management to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction and experience.
• Collaborating with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs by creating detailed interactive prototypes. 
• Conducting different exercises and workshops with actual users such as user interviews, survey, card sorting, field studies, heuristic evaluation.. etc
• Conducting usability testing on mock-ups or finished products to test experiences against user expectations/preferences and optimize the design accordingly. 
• Dealing with analytics platforms & heat-maps.
• Staying up-to-date on current UX trends in order to create innovative designs that are both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.
• Presenting your design solutions and project deliverables to clients and evaluate feedback.
