About The Role & Team

As an Associate Project Manager, you will drive a variety of project initiatives that meet our customer’s needs (internal and external). This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with colleagues and customers located in the region. Success in this role means you pay attention to detail be time sensitive possess influencing skills and enjoy working with others of diverse backgrounds.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Project Manager in tracking activities and deliverables to completion.
  • Submit and coordinate change requests and purchasing activities.
  • Perform all follow up work needed to ensure all changes are completed as planned all goods are received and payments are completed as scheduled.
  • Project administration: the ability to write clearly and simply are key skill to documenting project activities.
  • Documentation can range from creating and distributing meeting agenda items and meeting minutes generating resource utilization reports providing risks and issues reports to issuing status reports to stakeholders.
  • Generate reports include monthly portfolio program or project performance reports to lessons learned.
  • Project research: Conduct research on various topics and issues that support assigned project work, research can include analyzing and reviewing past project documentation collecting and consolidating Customer Satisfaction Survey results, and/or researching improvement activities that can have a positive effect on project work assigned.
  • Associate Project Managers are required to drive the profitability of their projects and to work with the Project Financial Controller to manage the project P&L in accordance with the Business Case.
  • Working with customers: ss an Associate Project Manager, you are committed to delivering excellent customer service. You proactively work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction, and that their needs and expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Team member growth and development is a key part of this role, team capacity planning and its monitoring and reporting will be essential to enable project prioritization while ensuring team members can deliver.


Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and Computer Technologies or any other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You have a track record of success in managing multiple projects and large programs including complexities, budgets, and deliverables within a commercial environment.
  • Strong project management methodologies and project life cycle knowledge.
  • Possess a track record of team management and people development
  • You have experience speaking in front of Executives and Senior Management.
  • English language fluently spoken, read, and written is an absolute must.
  • Excellent communication and ability to summarize complicated situations.
  • Ability to navigate in a matrix organization and influence contributors.
  • Proactively suggest improvement, leveraging experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong writing ability, and solid oration and follow-up skills.


NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience in the aviation industry or IT is a plus.
  • Communication in French Language is a plus.
  • Network background.
  • Formal project management training and certification - PMP certified preferred
