Overview

This position is physically located in Dubai, UAE in support of LOGCAP

Performs professional level human resources activities in functions such as medical services, benefits, scheduling of medical exams, crisis management support and other HR related areas. The HR focus for this position will be in the emergency action and medical team department supporting multiple OCONUS programs and interacting with program stakeholders which include (GSD, Site HR, Recruiting, N-M IRDO) and corporate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Specializes within two or more assigned areas of human resources.
  • Coordinates with Corporate HQ benefits department and program stakeholders for Return to Work for include Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA) and Sick Leaves
  • Assists the Field HR team Coordinates with Medical Vendor on the tracking of MQ’S, RDQ’S and DQ’S status changes
  • A Schedules Fit for Duty Exams with Site HR and Medical Vendor
  • Assists company with handling, resolving DBA claims for the appropriate COCOMS with respective stakeholders.
  • May be needed to assist with emergency action team notifications/actions in the event of a serious injury/illness or death to the Next of Kin
  • Produces metrics data for Medical Evacuations for each COCOM on the LOGCAP V contract
  • Handles Medical Leave of Absences in coordination with Field HR and Corporate/GSD Benefits departments
  • Processes HRIS actions in coordination with GSD/Employee services as requested
  • Assists in the creation of s Medical Leave Process workflows
  • Assists management with communications between employees and management to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
  • Coordinates medical leave/return work personnel actions with the appropriate Corporate or GSD POC” s
  • Interprets human resources policies for supervision
  • Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares recommendations on assigned projects
  • Assists with the administering benefit plans in coordination with corporate and project stakeholders
  • Handles confidential PPI information
  • Job Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Educations/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work
  • Must have passport and ability to travel international.
  • Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • One-year experience in HR
  • Practical knowledge of assigned HR functional areas
  • Previous experience working on a Government Contract or LOGCAP would be a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Skilled working in a team-orientated environment and able to demonstrate strong customer service skills within an organization.
  • Communicates professionally orally and in writing
  • Previous knowledge in an HRIS systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, Ultipro, etc.)
  • Working Conditions:
  • Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures and war zones.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Work may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
