A Snapshot of Your Day

As a seasoned Electrical maintenance Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience, Your role will involve ensuring the seamless operation of LV, MV, and HV electrical equipment at Burullus CCPP. This includes performing all preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities, including annual outages and overhauling work, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems, ensuring the continuous reliability of equipment, and collaborating with the maintenance team to resolve issues, all while strictly adhering to safety protocols and industry standards

How You’ll Make An Impact

Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Technical Guidance:

  • Conduct electrical preventive, predictive, corrective, and overhauling maintenance activities for various power plant equipment in a timely and safe manner.
  • Continuously improve electrical maintenance procedures and programs to ensure high reliability and resource efficiency, identifying new actions based on root cause analyses (RCA) or fleet experience.
  • Participate in the implementation of modifications, including design, development, and installation of new or modified equipment.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor and respond to emergency breakdowns to ensure plant availability, minimizing downtime and potential liquidity damages.
  • Highlight major maintenance requirements to schedule corrective maintenance and resources within the suggested timeframe.
  • Promote a condition-based preventive maintenance culture by conducting troubleshooting and root cause analyses, finding solutions to reduce reactive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot critical problems and investigate faults to determine proper actions or repairs, ensuring compliance with Siemens-energy quality and HSE standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures, prepare lessons learned documentation, and necessary testing and inspection reports.
  • Provide field engineering oversight and direction for activities such as support, testing, installation, inspections, and commissioning.
  • Evaluate procurement quotations to recommend the most appropriate materials and machinery for the plant.
  • Review and analyze maintenance data and conduct site engineering studies to determine the feasibility of modifications to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in change management processes, including feasibility studies for new installations, replacements, or repairs, and ensure proper follow-up reports and evaluations.
  • Assist in preparing the scope for major overhauls and refurbishments of plant equipment in coordination with the site team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Documentation:

  • Ensure the availability of engineering documentation.
  • Complete all maintenance documentation for electrical activities, including checklists, corrective maintenance repair notes, methods of repair, and records of time, labor, and materials used.
  • Maintain proper records of documentation related to electrical engineering activities.


Continuous Improvement and Training:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance practices and plant reliability.
  • Participate in identifying training needs and provide technical training and guidance to maintenance staff to ensure skill development and adherence to best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Provide training to maintenance staff and foster an experience exchange culture to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.


Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE):

  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with the HSSE department to ensure safety rules and regulations are fully explained to plant employees and contractor staff, and that appropriate safety and protective equipment is worn.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on Experience: 5 to 7 years of practical electrical maintenance experience. Previous experience in the power generation industry and knowledge of relevant power plant equipment is advantageous.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor/Masters (BSc/MSc) Degree in Electrical Engineering of a recognized Electrical Engineering Faculty.
  • Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, completing objectives efficiently with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Physical Requirements: Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, around chemicals, and on-call.
  • Technical Skills: Strong electrical skills and proficiency in using electrical test equipment and test results interpretation.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the power generation industry and knowledge of relevant power plant equipment is advantageous.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, as well as individually, to achieve results.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to meet the changing needs of site work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer-based applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Knowledge of downtime analysis and practical problem-solving tools.
  • Maintenance Strategies : Detailed understanding of different maintenance strategies.
  • Power Plant Operations: Knowledge of power generation plant operations.
  • Planning and Organizing: Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills.
  • Teamwork: Effective collaboration skills and the ability to foster an experience exchange culture.
