Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and standard ECG tests for inpatients and outpatients.
- Prepare patients for ECG tests, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Apply electrode tabs and electrodes to patients’ chest, arms, and legs.
- Operate and maintain ECG machines and related equipment.
- Deploy Holter monitors, External Event Recorders, and BP monitors to patients.
- Assist doctors in performing exercise ECG tests.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of ECG results.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Keep ECG rooms stocked with necessary supplies and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay updated with the latest practices and technologies in cardiology.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or certification in ECG Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ECG Technician, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in operating ECG machines and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle stressful situations.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with Holter monitoring and stress testing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not required.
