International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic
Class Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating a stimulating and intellectually challenging environment for students from FS/KG to Year 13/Grade 12, fostering innovative thinking, creative problem-solving, and inspired learning.
- Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring the incorporation of various instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles.
- Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to reach their academic potential. Use technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Assessment: Design and administer a variety of assessments (formative and summative) to evaluate student learning, progress, and understanding. Use assessment data to inform instruction.
- Feedback: Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Encourage a growth mindset in students.
- Individual Support: Identify and support students with special educational needs or those requiring additional help. Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.
- Environment: Establish a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
- Behavior Management: Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Address behavioral issues promptly and fairly.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the school. Stay updated with the latest educational research and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues to share teaching strategies, resources, and ideas. Participate in professional learning communities and staff meetings.
- Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians through meetings, emails, and reports. Involve them in their child's education and address any concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administration to develop and implement school initiatives and programs.
- Activities and Clubs: Lead or participate in extra-curricular activities, clubs, or sports teams to provide students with opportunities for growth beyond the classroom.
- School Events: Support and participate in school-wide events, celebrations, and initiatives. Foster a sense of community within the school.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Certification: Valid teaching certification or qualification recognized in the UAE.
- Experience: Minimum of [4] years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or diverse educational setting.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of different curriculum frameworks (British, American, IB, AP, MOE).
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
