Job Purpose

To examine and analyse the root cause behind operational non conformities / compliance of all equipment serviced by dnata Technical Services, as obtained from customer feedback, operational reports, external and internal audits MMS reports, etc., to be able to provide concerned Workshops Line Manager with clear recommendations for corrective action and/or service recovery. To ensure the changed/ improved/ modified procedures and working instructions are incorporated in appropriate operational and procedures manuals, and they are adhered to in day-to-day work practices, by carrying out periodic inspections of the dTS workshops to ensure their compliance to established maintenance standards and procedures. Conduct gap analyses of existing processes and management systems and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions to enable the attainment of compliance to new applicable standards and guidelines.

Job Outline

Plan

  • Develops Annual plans for Audit & revision of SOP/ WI?s, to ensure that all section of dTS are covered as per the legal & regulatory requirements
  • Develops Annual audit plan to cover all maintenance related activities performed by dnata Technical Services Workshops at varying stages of the maintenance cycle

Lead

  • Reviews Preventive Maintenance Job Plans and carries out audits to ensure that task are as per OEM recommendations and adequate to perform maintenance of high quality.
  • Reviews the staff knowledge, availability of tools, parts & facility to carry out each task with quality & safety and provides recommendation to dnata Technical Services management.

Execute

  • Carries out maintenance audits as per the annual audit plan to ensure that all tasks comply with the relevant standards thereby consistently achieving optimum operational reliability of all equipment/vehicles.
  • Analyses the root cause behind non-compliances identified during the audits and provides recommendations for corrective action Recommendations should focus on improving productivity, reducing equipment rework and down time and compliance to relevant SOPs
  • Audits the maintenance management system periodically to ensure that data entered is accurate, and provides the necessary information required for complying with EMS/QMS manuals & safety standards.
  • Reviews & audits the SOP?s and Work Instructions (WI?s) as per the annual audit plan and advises the relevant line manager and the Quality & Standards Manager of any required amendments
  • Identifies & highlights any defects or operational non-compliances obtained from customer feedback, operational reports, internal & external audits, and MMS reports.
  • Supports dnata Technical Services workshops by ensuring changes to procedures and working instructions are appropriately implemented at the operational shop floor once these have been agreed by senior management and changes made to operational and procedural manuals.
  • Provides support and guidance as required to quality action teams to fast track ongoing initiatives of process improvement, operational efficiencies and Service Improvement feedback (SIFs).
  • Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are followed in the workshop and other work areas.
  • Execute the risk assessment programme developed by QSM, by co-ordinating with Line departments and dnata Safety
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude and the implementation of BAPP

Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Facilities/Maintenance.Equipment Operation
  • Bachelor Degree Holder: 2-4 years of maintenance experience on heavy duty Equipment in a similar engineering environment and experience of ISO certification processes and auditing of procedures in an engineering environment
  • Or Vocational or Diploma Holder: 4-6 years of maintenance experience on heavy duty Equipment in a similar engineering environment and experience of ISO certification processes and auditing of procedures in an engineering environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in either Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or Automobile Engineering from reputed Institution.
  • Vocational or Diploma in either Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or Automobile Engineering from reputed Institution
  • An accredited qualification in Quality Management

Knowledge / Skills

  • English Level 5
  • Proficient IT and Computer Literacy
  • Proficient Supervisory Skills
  • Proficient Quality Orientation Skills
  • UAE Driving license / Home Country Driving License
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, automotive and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Practical knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance and engineering.
  • Formal training on general safety procedures, first aid and fire warden would be an advantage.
