Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager - Burger King (Franchise under ADNOC Distribution)

Unit / Division: Retail Group/ Franchise & Property Services Division

Job Location: Anywhere in UAE.


JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the responsibility of managing the daily operations of a single

restaurant, in accordance with company QSC standards by the Operations Manual, for an assigned shift. To

assist the restaurant manager, on his assigned shift, to control and operate the restaurant to maximize sales

and profitability while maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness, product quality and service

to the customers in pleasant surroundings.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Run a smooth and efficient shift in the restaurant ensuring all standards, policies and procedures are

adhered to. This will include all the Shift Supervisors activities, plus all activities that impacts store

QSC levels. This will include –

o Manage the crew training program and responsible for store personnel files

o Helps complete monthly store reports

o Assist in training of Service Experts and Managers Trainees

o Responsible for the training of Service Supervisors

o Assist the store manager in the control of all P&L line items and helps to budget and control

assigned tasks

o Maintain spare parts inventories (if applicable)

o Responsible for all equipment

o Manage crew incentives

• Assign job positions to staff members to ensure that all positions necessary to the restaurant’s

operations are filled and hire staff on successful completion of BMT.

• Supervise personnel as they greet customers and take their orders to ensure that customer needs are

satisfied promptly and courteously.

• Supervise staff in food items preparation to ensure that quality & hygiene standards are maintained at

all times.

• Supervise staff in cleaning both equipment and facilities to ensure that sanitation standards are

compiled and maintained all the time in a neat and attractive manner.

• Receive and resolve customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Take stock inventory, controllable and cash checks, to provide accurate data needed for ordering

supplies and identify shortages & overages.

• Provide employees with 4 step training method in all areas, including food preparation, sanitation,

proper appearance, customer courtesy, suggested selling techniques, etc.

• Evaluate employee performance & recommend appropriate action to the Restaurant Manager

• Complete staff schedule.

• Assist R.M., in ensuring that security systems relating to cash, stock assets are effectively

implemented and maintained.

• Completing orders as and when required.

• Accept deliveries as and when required ensuring the correct procedure is adhered to.

• Carry out loss control evaluations.

• Update the stock level chart by accurately calculating the level according to sales data of the

restaurant.

• To be posted & followed as part of day-to-day operation.

• Training & retraining staff on a regular basis & ensuring that it is recorded in the correct manner.

• Conduct crew meetings.

• Hiring decisions on staff members on B.M.T. successful completion.

• Makes decisions during assigned shifts (related to restaurant operations) that are within established

operating policy.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• High School Certificate/ Diploma.

• Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management would be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within QSR environment.
