Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization electrification and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

The work model for the role is: {onsite}

This role is contributing to the electrification in Egypt.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Understanding of tenders with respect to scope of work, pricing schedule and material requirement for quotation purpose

Delivering the complete technical offers with all relevant documents together with minimum material cost and max. allowable discount within the Product Group approved levels.

Handling offers that need special pricing, coordinating with SCM for max. possible discount besides looking for all technical solutions that can reduce the cost and satisfy the customer requirements.

Creating and documenting Project Bill of Materials in line with business & customer requirements and provide quotation and suggestions for possible alternative explaining the benefit to the client (cost/technical/delivery).

Keeping records for all offers with the related costs and discounts history and to be a part of the tendering criteria (Vision ahead).

Coordinating with the Engineering departments after order award for accurate scope of supply while doing the handover.

Always keep consistency with ABB rules, guidelines code of conduct, business ethics, and communications


Qualifications For The Role

  • Degree in electrical engineering
  • 0 - 3 years as sales support, bid and proposal or design/engineering
  • Have a demonstrated track record in Resolution of schedule conflicts, priority changes and material shortages using a disciplined and systematic approach
  • Fluent spoken & written English, Arabic and French language is a privilege
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple tasks-Efficient time management
