ADCOOPS is looking for a
Procurement Officer to overseeing purchasing and sourcing activities to ensure the procurement of goods, materials, and services in line with company policies and budgetary requirements. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficient supply chain operations and supporting the organization's overall success.. Here are some common job roles and responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality goods at competitive prices.
- Purchase Planning: Forecasting demand, monitoring inventory levels, and determining when to replenish stock to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Cost Control: Analyzing costs, comparing prices, and negotiating discounts to optimize procurement spending while maintaining quality standards.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing.
- Inventory Management: Collaborating with inventory control teams to manage stock levels effectively, minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
- Quality Assurance: Verifying the quality of received goods and services, addressing any issues with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply shortages or supplier reliability issues, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Developing procurement budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing reports for management on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
