As a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating all recruitment activity and support for the business. This will be achieved through employing traditional and modern sourcing strategies to ensure we are hiring the best possible talent, whilst actively living our values.
In this role you will:
Recruitment:
- Keep up to date with current sourcing best practices
- Provide support when required to other areas of the business
- Proactively source and engage external talent locally using a wide variety of sourcing techniques: Headhunting channels, Advertising avenues, Social media methods, Internal referral system
- Work with Hiring team to understand the scope of open roles
- Maintain good relationships with line managers
- Report on recruitment metrics as required
- Ensure the recruitment process is adhered to starting with the Requisition approval
- Screen & shortlist candidates by conducting telephone and online interviews.
- Provide weekly feedback to line managers on process
- Follow up with emails to regret unsuccessful applicants
- Update our recruitment trackers and discuss open positions with other senior team members.
- Maintain solid relationship with the candidates throughout the interview process
- Conducting various assessments applicable to the role
- Execute employer branding and on-ground university relations activities.
Record Keeping:
- Ensure the applicant tracking system is updated with prospective candidates and interview feedback
- All successful shortlisted candidates to be saved on company ATS for future pipeline
Weekly Reporting:
- Meet with Senior Talent Acquisition team members and Hiring Manager to discuss progress of open positions, quality of candidates and strategy to find/engage more talent.
- Provide pre-screened and qualified candidates to Hiring Manager within the agreed time frames
Other:
- Ensure all recruitment documents are scanned and saved on company ATS
- Coordinate university graduate recruiting initiatives
- Build recruitment networks through local and regional industry contacts to keep up to date with recruitment practices
- To perform any other reasonable task which might be required from time to time
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration
- From 1 - 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition
- Previous experience in the start-up ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience in sourcing positions in the online classifieds or e-commerce sector is a plus
- Has minimum experience in sourcing using a wide variety of sourcing channels to source talent ideally within digital/tech/mobile apps
- Tech recruitment knowledge is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels.
- Excellent coordination and organisation skills.
- Ability to prioritise work requirements.
- Strong internet research and social media recruitment skills
- Highly motivated, professional, creative, proactive and able to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
