IAM Consultant (Identity and Access Management)

We are seeking an experienced IAM Consultant with a strong focus on IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of identity and access management principles and be skilled in implementing, managing, and optimizing IAM solutions to enhance organizational security and compliance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• IAM Strategy Development:
• Develop and implement identity and access management strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Assess current IAM processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and security.
• ISVA Implementation and Configuration:
• Lead the implementation and configuration of IBM Security Verify Access solutions.
• Customize and integrate ISVA with existing systems, applications, and platforms.
• Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Access Control Management:
• Design and manage role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) mechanisms.
• Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with established policies.
• Identity Governance:
• Implement identity lifecycle management processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and access requests.
• Conduct risk assessments and leverage ISVA features to enforce security policies across the organization.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business units to gather requirements, address issues, and provide IAM expertise.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on IAM best practices and ISVA functionalities.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
• Use reporting tools and dashboards to monitor access patterns, identify anomalies, and create reports for management review.
• Stay updated on IAM trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for enhancements and innovations.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Act as a point of contact for IAM-related incidents and issues, leveraging technical skills to resolve challenges quickly.
• Document and maintain resolutions to ensure knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in identity and access management, with a focus on IBM Security Verify Access.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), and governance frameworks.
• Experience with identity federation, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Solid understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), or IBM Security Verify Access certifications are a plus.
