Job Purpose

responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the engineering team. They will assist with drafting technical documents, compiling data, creating presentations, and coordinating project activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and the ability to communicate technical information effectively

Shop Drawings & Reporting.

  • Coordinates with other Technical Office engineers to produce shop drawings with a focus on cost control
  • Analyzes building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural and civil designs.
  • Coordinates structural, electrical, and mechanical designs, and determines a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.
  • Resolves arising conflicts between various design components to ensures smooth collaboration.
  • Draws and prints rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data.
  • Layouts and plans interior design arrangements using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
  • Determines and directs procedures and instructions to be followed according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
  • Issues requests for information (RFI) document to inquire about conflicting or missing information.
  • Obtains and assembles data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
  • Analyzes technical implications of architect's design concept, calculating weights, volumes, and stress factors.
  • Represents architect on construction site, ensuring builder compliance with design specifications, and advising on design corrections under architect's supervision.

Checks dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to lists of materials

Data Analysis

  • Obtains and assembles data to complete architectural designs to be given to the site engineers and subcontractors.
  • Performs quality control on all projects, writes reports, and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Supports the engineering team during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Determines and directs procedures and instructions to be followed according to design specifications and quantity of required materials to support the engineering team.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA's)

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture engineering is a must.
  • (3-5) years of experience
  • Willing to work in the head office or any site.
  • Good user of engineering computer software (AutoCAD - Revit - Sketchup).
