Senior Research Associate -Cosmetics

Position Overview

The Cosmetic Product Developer/Specialist will be responsible for leading R&D initiatives and managing the entire lifecycle of cosmetic products, from concept through to market introduction. This role requires a blend of scientific expertise, creative problem-solving, strategic product management and In depth knowledge of existing products in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Development:

• Product Formulation: Innovate and develop new formulations for cosmetic products, ensuring they meet safety, efficacy, and regulatory standards.
• Ingredient Research: Conduct in-depth research on new ingredients, technologies, and trends in the cosmetic industry to inform product development.
• Prototype Development: Create and refine product prototypes, conducting stability, efficacy, and safety testing.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all R&D activities comply with global cosmetic regulations, including product testing and documentation.
• Innovation: Drive continuous innovation in product development by staying ahead of industry trends and consumer demands.
  
  

Product Management

• Product Strategy: Develop and implement product strategies that align with PROTECTOL's goals, including market positioning and competitive analysis.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, development, testing, and commercialization.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designing ,marketing, supply chain, and quality assurance to ensure timely and successful product launches.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, competitive products, and emerging trends to guide product development.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet high-quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Packaging Development: Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure compatibility between product formulations and packaging materials.
  
  

Production Guidance

• Manufacturing Oversight: Provide guidance to the production team to ensure that product formulations are accurately and consistently scaled up from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
• Process Optimization: Work closely with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising product quality.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any production-related issues that arise during manufacturing, ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards.
• Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability and quality of raw materials and packaging components, and manage relationships to support production needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cosmetic product development, R&D, and production guidance.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, manufacturing process and industry regulations.
• Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle for successful cosmetic products.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
