Role Purpose


Manages and supervises the development and implementation of digital media plans, initiatives and campaigns of in accordance with best practices and standards, through the best channels and means to enable the department to achieve its mission, priorities and strategic objectives, managing all digital media affairs effectively and proactively to ensure that all coverage, digital marketing and social media content is aligned with defined expectations and strategies.


 


Key responsibilities


Digital Marketing Management




  • Manages and monitors the development and design of digital marketing strategies in line with the needs and trends of the media with the department.

  • Directing the team and providing expertise and advice to manage all digital marketing channels and platforms such as websites and others and approving proposals for ways to enhance brand marketing for tourism and cultural destinations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

  • Directing the department and ensuring the optimization of the search results engines (SEO), in order to serve the improvement of research results and achieve better results.

  • Ensures the achievement of investment returns and the effectiveness of digital marketing content in achieving the desired results and outputs and managing the development of appropriate improvement plans.

  • Directs the department, managing the development of advertising campaigns and digital marketing content to reach audiences, customers and target groups and achieve a high level of interaction.

  • Ensures effective management and promotion of work with other marketing teams in the sector to improve production and design, thus contributing to increased customer and audience satisfaction.



Social media management




  • Manages and monitors the development and design of marketing and promotion strategies through social media in line with the needs and trends of the media with the department.

  • Directs the department, providing advice and expertise on the Tourism and Culture Department’s destinations, events and initiatives marketing plan on various social media platforms in line with target markets and companies and the comprehensive strategic communication and marketing strategy.

  • Provides advice and expertise, ensuring the evaluation of the effectiveness of campaigns carried out by the department on various social media platforms and takes corrective actions when appropriate.

  • Provides strategic direction for managing and following up on comprehensive development processes in social and cultural trends on social media, suggesting ways to enhance the marketing of brands for tourism and cultural destinations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

  • Provides advice and expertise to develop plans to increase followers, increase the rate of interaction on social media platforms, and ensures effective response and interaction with customers and social media pioneers.

  • Manages and monitors development of effective crisis management strategies related to social media that could potentially affect the image of the Department or of the tourist or cultural destinations that it manages in the short, medium and long term.

  • Monitor and directs the department, ensuring actively promoting and developing effective relationships with various other social platforms.

  • Leads talent development initiatives for the team in cooperation with technical experts in the field to ensure the availability of talent that meets requirements.  

  • Encourages the commitment of team employees to corporate values ​​and ethics, ensuring that a value-based culture is embedded in the department.



Budgeting and financial planning




  • Manages the preparation and recommendation of the department budget, monitoring performance against the budget while ensuring that all department activities are carried out in line with approved guidelines.



Policies, systems, processes and procedures




  • Manages and ensures effective implementation of policies, procedures and functional controls that cover all areas of department's activities to ensure that all procedural/legislative requirements are met.



Continuous improvement




  • Leads the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability in relation to systems, processes and practices in view of global standards, improving productivity and reducing costs.



 Reporting


Ensures that all department reports are prepared in an appropriate and accurate manner in order to meet requirements, policies and quality standards imposed by the sector.

Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree (preferably a master's degree) in the fields of digital media, communication, public relations or equivalent.



Experience




  • 6-8 years’ experience in digital media, communication, public relations, or similar field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital media, communication, public relations or similar field.



Skills




  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic

  • Skill in using Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Office and Excel)

  • Ability to direct report employees

  • Advanced skills in management and dealing with people

  • Excellent management skills and attention to detail

  • Self-motivation and the ability to get work done in an appropriate manner
