Job Purpose:
Egypt Country Manager (CM) will be responsible for general oversight of the market, managing delivery of local Sales targets, sales team performance, sales strategy, commercial hygiene, customer relationships including Joint Business Plans (JBP), customer marketing and distributor management. As the senior leader in the commercial organization, the CM will also represent Haleon in key customer/distributor negotiations. Additionally, the Egypt Country Manager will oversee the P&L and Net Sales delivery for all channels with close attention to trade spends and effectiveness and control over budgets. He/she will be driving various cross functional meetings including Egypt PMR and DRM.
Egypt Country Manager would be the custodian of Haleon’s reputation in the market. Using sound judgement, the Egypt Country Manager is accountable to ensure we operate with the highest level of trust and integrity in line with Haleon Values and Expectations and ethical standards as well as local laws.
Together with the team, the role maintains a strong and responsible link with the community where Haleon operate, through work with consumers, distributors, healthcare professionals, trade associations, policy makers, and works councils.
The role will be a role model in driving fast adoption of the new Haleon Consumer Healthcare culture and behaviors – Keep It Human, Do What Matters Most and Go Beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and Manage the Business:
- Deliver targets for local sales as well as other sales KPIs including distribution and visibility, gross to net etc
- Drive sales strategy such that Haleon wins in key market channels including pharmacy, mass market and ecommerce
- Execute with perfection to drive Haleon growth ahead of market
- Develop and nurture the sales team while driving a performance culture
- Improve and constantly challenge RTM in the face of market change and dynamics;
- Monitor market dynamics, customer and shopper insights to anticipate changes and ensure timely reaction on them.
- Work with third parties and in market partners to drive excellence of in-store execution to ensure best visibility, product availability and consumption growth of Haleon brands.
- Deliver high-quality input to demand team influencing Forecast Accuracy and OTIF.
- Contribute to net revenue management process providing valuable input to brand pricing, price pack architecture, promotional strategy based on customer insight, while driving rigorous G2N management.
- Build relationships with key customers and distributors, particularly at senior levels

- Development of local organization quality and competencies as a team and as individuals, especially on key account management, in-store performance, financial acumen and negotiations skills.
People & performance culture
- Represent the “face of Haleon” internally. Role model and embed the Haleon Values & Expectations, demonstrate cultural awareness, and drive the Haleon.
- Inspire, engage, empower and align the organization with the Haleon strategy and show their part in it
- Manage change; lead through transitions.
- Leverage and energize the matrix, influence and collaborate to find solutions for the business and the enterprise.
Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree is a must (Post graduate degrees is a plus)
- Strong Commercial Experience, 10+ years in senior leadership, preferably with the last role being Sales Head in a multinational CPG organization
- Strong knowledge of Egypt market with experience in both mass market as well as pharmacy channels
- Proven track record of strong P&L delivery and thinking.
- Track record of strong People management capability including building and developing high performing teams.
- Strong demonstration of leadership standards with focus on bringing the outside in, accountability to deliver results, breaking down barriers, growing and inspiring others.

- Strong leader and collaborator with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
