Synopsis:


This is an exciting time for Etihad. In line with our Vision 2030 we are in a growth phase and looking for an exemplary candidate to provide industry leading Marketing strategies. In this role, the candidate will own, develop, plan and implement Etihad Cargo’s marketing and communications strategy, working closely with the Head of Cargo Strategy and the MD Cargo to shape the narrative and external messaging of Etihad Cargo to all stakeholders (both internal and external).


Accountabilities:


• Develop and execute the Etihad Cargo marketing and communications plan against a set budget working with Etihad Cargo heads of department to anticipate communication needs across both customer and non-customer facing mediums

• Project manage and take delivery responsibility for Etihad Cargo’s presence and participation at relevant industry events such as the IATA World Cargo Symposium, Air Cargo Europe and others

• Manage and develop the internal team, manage and cultivate strong working relationships with the wider marketing and communications community within Etihad Aviation Group and effectively manage third party providers and agencies to deliver on the mandate

• Work with all product owners to develop specific marketing and communications plans, tailored to specific audiences and geographies where appropriate to drive the growth of premium product penetration within the Etihad Cargo portfolio

• Create initiatives which help stretch marketing funds and improve marketing ROI

• Perform track marketing campaigns and activities at a pre, during and post launch level to ensure timely identification and effective resolution of corrective actions

• Prepare and present reports to senior management on Marketing KPI’s to ensure the accurate and timely communication of results and contribution to business growth

• Work closely with Etihad Corporate Communications and agencies to develop communication activities to support Etihad Cargo (eg, interviews, press releases, social media posts, video content, joint initiatives with partners / vendors / customers, townhalls, Yammer, newsletters etc)

• Management administrative procedures to ensure the accurate and timely execution of the required processes


Education & Experience:


• Educated to Bachelor’s Degree level – specialisation in marketing a distinct advantage

• Additional certification in the marketing and communications field is highly desirable

• 8 years previous experience in leading marketing and communications workstreams in a similar role or as a consultant

• Significant knowledge of the aviation and logistics sector is preferred

• Expertise in the various disciplines of Marketing Communication, Event management and Public Relations

• Good leadership engagement, negotiating and influencing skills
