As an Allocator, you will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels across retail locations to maximize sales and minimize stockouts. Working closely with merchandising and planning teams, you will analyze sales trends, monitor inventory levels, and allocate products to different stores. The goal is to ensure that each store has the right mix and quantity of merchandise to meet customer demand while maintaining healthy inventory turnover.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and product demand.
- Identify slow-moving and fast-selling items and provide recommendations for adjustments
- Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to understand product assortments and sales goals.
- Develop allocation plans to ensure that each store receives an appropriate quantity and variety of merchandise
- Execute allocation plans by distributing merchandise to stores based on sales history, geographic location, and store size.
- Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of allocated products
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts.
- Adjust allocation plans based on changing demand and sales trends.
- Utilize data analytics tools to extract insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and allocation effectiveness
- Work closely with store managers to gather feedback on product performance and customer preferences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and optimize processes.
- Assist in seasonal planning by forecasting product demand and allocating appropriate inventory to support sales objectives
- Communicate allocation plans and changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on inventory status and sales performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Previous experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning, or inventory management is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using data analysis tools and retail management software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
