At Intrepid Travel, a leader in responsible adventure travel, we are looking for an experienced Accountant in this dynamic position, where you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across a wide range of responsibilities, under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

Key duties include reconciling general ledger accounts and bank statements, preparing journal entries and financial statements, and managing periodic reporting. You'll also maintain the fixed asset system, assist with budgeting, compile expenditure reports, and prepare financial documents for creditors and agencies. You’ll be dealing with all types of taxes and an electronic invoice system, so prior knowledge is very beneficial.

Additionally, you’ll help the Senior Accountant with confidential correspondence, ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • Degree qualified with CA, CPA, or equivalent, and 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in complex accounting packages with practical finance and accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven leadership and ability to foster teamwork in a dynamic environment.
  • Experienced in managing high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate financial reports and analysis under tight timelines.
