Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensure the preparation of customs documentation to any shipments to meet all applicable laws to guarantee entry is on time & correct.
- Maintain understanding and keep up-to-date with changes as they occur, to be able to advise customers on import restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements and all other customs-related matters.
- Defines and enhances the country's organizational setup
- Responsible for monitoring brokers' expenses, and acts according to the country's law and regulations of the standard agreed tariff.
- Manage, supervise, and monitor field brokers for import clearance.
- Control data quality as per operational SOP.
- Control cost and expenses for operational files & Control shipment profitability.
- Process the month end accrual and ensure accuracy and least variation.
- Ensure the budget is achieved by providing good service & coaching the team.
- Responsible for personnel management & monitoring the team's performance
- Control & monitor abnormal negative shipment
- Guarantee that all reports are submitted correctly and on time.
- Accountable for closing the job file / Events in the operational system "Tango".
- Responsible through his team for updating customers with shipment status on a daily basis either through emails or by reports as per customer requirements.
- Actively works with customs & relevant entities to ensure procedures are processed on time.
- Actively acts in case of any problems with customs & related entities to have the case resolved & update customers with feasible solutions.
- Supports local KAM/sales regarding identifying and acquiring local strategic accounts and attendance at key customer meetings.
- Actively involved in Key accounts operational requirements to ensure customer satisfaction & growth.
- Ensuring that the quality policy and quality objectives are established in the department and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.
- Promote usage of the process approach and risk-based thinking.
- Manages the quality management system and ensures the availability of resources needed to achieve its intended results.
- Assume the overall responsibilities of the department - including Export, Import, Customs Clearance, and Operational Accounting.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Has at least three years experience in a related field.
- Knowledgeable of the country's import and export regulations.
- Has experience in customs clearance and operational accounting.
- Has customer service experience and good communication skills.
