Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role of the Site Foreman is to plan the day to day construction / Logistics activities of the project in consultation with the Site Manager(s) Allocation of labor / Materials planning on a daily basis in agreement with the Site Manager and continual monitoring to ensure the resources remain productive.

Operational Responsibility

  • Execute work in accordance to both internal and external HSE procedures and Guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Lead one or more work packages on a project, coordinate with the Site Supervisor ensuring works are aligned with the programme.
  • Assist Site Managers with forecasting and planning of man power to ensure works are executed as per the program.
  • Ensure works are executed on site as per the specifications and drawings. Following KPS QA/QC plan to maintain quality.
  • Ensure works are coordinated between sub contractors to avoid errors and re-work.
  • Ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure site logistics run smoothly, Prepare the necessary passes / timing for individual sub contractors to make deliveries with the building.
  • Implement the outcome of Toolbox talks by the site Manager across the project, highlighting non conformance back to the site Manager.
  • Provide input to the site Manager in regard to planned VS actual to assist in progress reviews.
  • Provide safety inductions to Sub Contractors to ensure KPS HSE standards are followed by all parties on site.

People Responsibility

  • Lead the team responsibly providing eective line management to direct reports
  • Set objectives for direct reports and evaluate performance in line with the performance management framework, and actively manage key personnel issues
  • Ensure that all sta acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate learning and development initiatives

Additional

  • This role has a reporting team.
  • Undertake any other activities that may be assigned by the manager from time to time to meet business needs.
  • This role has responsibility for HSE documentation.

Person Specifications (Essential)

  • Diploma/ Associate Degree in Construction or similar field (Or 6 years total experience in similar field)
  • Minimum 4 years on-site experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral, with emphasis on English language.
  • Demonstrated Planning and Organisation skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Health and Safety precautions and procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills in Quality management, including attention to details.
  • Demonstrated ability with training of HSE requirements, including Tool box talks

Person Specification (Desirable)

  • With working experience from a reputed consultancy or contracting company.
  • HSE qualification - ISO, NEBOSH
