Job Context
The
Learning Standards and Quality Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards for course development and delivery within our organization. This role involves creating and enforcing guidelines for course content, assessing the quality of course materials provided by external facilitators, and ensuring that all learning experiences meet the organization’s quality benchmarks. Additionally, the Specialist will develop and implement processes for verifying and validating facilitators, interacting with course participants, and managing participant inclusion in the learning management system (LMS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Standards Development: Create and maintain guidelines for course development, including design principles, content structure, assessment methods, and delivery formats. Regularly update these standards to reflect best practices and organizational goals.
- Facilitator Verification and Validation: Develop a process to verify and validate external facilitators' qualifications and alignment with organizational values. Set approval criteria, conduct evaluations, and ensure facilitators adhere to standards.
- Course Material Assessment: Review and assess materials from external facilitators, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor course quality, using tools like rubrics and checklists. Conduct pilot tests and reviews to ensure courses meet organizational standards before full-scale delivery.
- Participant Interaction and LMS Management: Manage participant interactions, ensure accurate LMS access, provide support, and analyze feedback to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaboration and Support: Work with external facilitators to align course objectives and standards, act as a liaison with internal teams, and provide training on course development standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback, track course effectiveness, and stay updated on instructional design trends to drive improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of instructional design models and learning theories.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality standards for educational content.
- Proficiency in evaluating and assessing instructional materials for alignment with learning objectives and organizational standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assessments and projects concurrently.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Experience with LMS management, including user setup, content uploading, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic and young team;
- Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission;
- The role may involve managing tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, learning quality assurance, or a similar role, preferably within a course development or training environment;
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Quality Assurance in Education, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Excel in written and verbal English.
