Job Title: Finishing Site Engineer

Job Summary:

The Finishing Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the final stages of construction projects,

ensuring all finishing works meet quality standards, specifications, and client expectations. This role involves

coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of

finishing tasks while maintaining adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control and Assurance:

• o Supervise and inspect all finishing works, including painting, tiling, fittings, and other interior/exterior finishes, to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• o Implement quality assurance measures and conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify defects or deviations from plans.
  
  
  

2. Coordination and Communication:

• o Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate the timely delivery of finishing materials and resources.
• o Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and consultants, regarding progress, issues, and approvals related to finishing works.
  
  
  

3. Schedule Management:

• o Develop and maintain detailed schedules for finishing activities, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
• o Monitor progress against schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain project deadlines.
  
  
  

4. Safety and Compliance:

• o Ensure all finishing activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• o Implement and enforce site safety protocols and practices related to finishing works.
  
  
  

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• o Maintain accurate records of all finishing work, including approvals, variations, and as-built documentation.
• o Prepare regular progress reports, including photos and documentation of completed works, for project management and client review.
  
  
  

6. Problem Solving and Decision Making:

• o Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to finishing works promptly and effectively.
• o Make informed decisions on material selections, methodologies, and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes.
  
  
  

7. Team Leadership and Development:

• o Provide leadership and guidance to site supervisors, foremen, and construction teams involved in finishing works.
• o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth among team members.
  
  
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in construction projects, particularly in finishing works, with a minimum of 8 years in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
• Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Certifications in project management or quality control (e.g., PMP, CQM) are desirable.

• The role requires frequent on-site presence, with exposure to construction site conditions, including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
