How You Will Contribute
- Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes.
- Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, including key performance indicators and financial insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial systems.
- Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management.
- Monitor and analyse budget performance, identifying areas of concern and providing recommendations for cost control and efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and manage audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the finance and accounting department.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Identify training and development needs for the finance and accounting team and support their professional growth.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation’s strategic plans and initiatives.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions, conducting financial due diligence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in financial regulations.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
- 12 to 15 years of proven experience as a financial leader in a senior management position, such as Finance Director, Controller, or a similar role, working in an organisation structured as a group. Experience in a process-driven multinational is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
- CPA or CMA certification is required.
- Financial planning and analysis expertise.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency is financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in risk management and internal controls.
- Understanding of taxation and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
