Job Description

Organization Unit Purpose:

The unit is created primarily to engage in sanctioning, monitoring, and managing leverage / lending facilities against custody of marketable shares. The main objective is to cater the client enhancing the portfolio against acceptable shares along with revenue generation through group synergies via fee and non-fee based income.

Job Purpose:

As ESU Officer, position holder will ensure that the proposals are being prepared for prospective and existing clients on a timely manner, responsible for timely facility reviews, observing the imposed controls, adhering to policy norms, managing the client relationships efficiently to the satisfaction of the clients at the same time safe guarding the interest of the organization.

Main Tasks:

  • Increase in facility utilization
  • Maintaining an active loan portfolio
  • Ensure there are no hard core elements in the loan portfolio
  • Timely submission of FAs electronically to approving authority after gathering required client information
  • Timely conduct of annual review of facilities
  • Preparation of proposals as and when demanded
  • Ensure group lending policy criteria is followed
  • Adhere to group compliance / AML standards
  • Strictly following margin call criteria
  • Maintain attrition at low levels
  • Maintain a high level of customer interactions
  • Generating new ideas aimed at overall productivity of the unit
  • Continuous self development as a part of carrier development

Job Knowledge:

Good understanding of ENBD policies and procedures which governs lending against custody shares, thorough knowledge on central bank guidelines on bank lending, hands on knowledge on facility appraisal techniques, good understanding of credit risk evaluation, ability evaluate the marketability and liquidity of a particular share portfolio, hands on knowledge evaluation of credit proposals etc.

Skills:

Financial analysis, key account management techniques, good understanding on credit based lending and it’s functionalities.

Relationship management between internal and external stake holders, ability to drive and lead the team towards achieving set goals/ targets being set at the beginning of the financial year, effective time management, conflict management techniques etc.

Experience:

3-5 years industry experience
