RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
We are looking for a Manager HORECA & Events based in Cairo. A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience in managing HORECA. Together with an excellent command of both English and Arabic language. Experience in the trade business is a strong plus.
Strengthen one of the most exciting consumer touchpoints – LAMPs – in-line with our upper funnel strategy. Shape the channel strategy, craft visibility solutions, develop cutting-edge consumer engagement concepts and mechanics to pull LANU into the world of IQOS by building strong emotional connections. You will be working under the leadership of the ETP Field Operations Manager and in close collaboration with cross functional teams, regions and markets to deliver compelling work products in the form of LAMPs strategic and tactical toolboxes, guided by the overall objective of positioning IQOS brand at the forefront of modern culture as an iconic top of mind brand.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- EVENTS ACTIVITY CALENDAR PLANNING AND EXECUTION
In conjunction with the Brand Engagement team define the engagement strategy for the year. Build and execute a comprehensive calendar of engagement activities with LANU in line with the agreed annual plans. Ensure implementation of the events concepts and manage all related logistics with hostesses teams, supervisors, ad agency, 3rd parties, LAMPS etc, Submit timely reports at the end of each consumer engagement activity including straightforward process and outcome analysis and performance evaluation in reports in order to address problems and identify new opportunities.
- LAMPS STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
Develop an approach to segment LAMPS universe based on key defined criteria and build a clear annual strategy of the key outlets to be contracted. Monitor new opportunities in terms of geographies and outlets. Participate in developing LAMPs as channel by finalizing and detailing strategic framework. Lead development of brand staging solutions and engagement mechanics by partnering with leading engagement & staging agencies and internal stakeholders to release experiential and staging tool-boxes for market deployment. Develop and implement the LAMP segmentation & regional LAMP coverage plans, contribute to the development of communications and materials for LAMP’s and ensure the efficiency of LAMP programs. Source best practices from the markets to make them visible and available for the benefit of all. Set the guidelines for negotiating contracts with LAMPS. Be the guardian of KPI’s framework and work closely with the markets to source and accumulate performance metrics.
- LAMPS RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Establish and build long term relationship with LAMP managers and owners. Negotiate deals and contracts that optimize PM investments in terms of ability to place POS material and implement engagement activities with LANU.
- CONSUMER PROMOTIONS & COMMUNICATION
Support Brand Marketing in their commercial plans, proposing engagement activities and ideas (consumer and LAMP owners) ensuring alignment and feasibility of the initiatives building a coherent message for brand messages across all touchpoints.
Collaborate with Regions and Markets to address key market/business needs in the context of growing importance of the LAMPs channel.
- TEAM MANAGEMENT / TEAMWORK AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Organize, supervise, coach and motivate the LAMPs team, in order to reach the channel objectives. Delegate activities, follow up and evaluate people based on results and recognize good performance. Assist and inform people on daily basis in order to deliver according to plan and develop individual capabilities to meet business needs.
Cooperate with all members of the Marketing and Commercial team as well as Marketing Services in Lausanne to ensure proactive internal communications and alignment, effective teamwork and participate actively in the development of the more junior members of the channel. Assess the current level of subordinates, prepare and implement a coherent and effective development plan. Monitor performance and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- LEGAL & CORPORATE FRAMEWORK
Maintain a thorough understanding of the major Legal and/or corporate issues which impact or may impact the tobacco industry and/or PM EGYPT in order to translate such issues into marketing terms and contribute to the implementation of new marketing strategies, plans or programs that may arise there from. Ensure that solid image for Philip Morris, as responsible corporation and preferred business partner, is built and maintained through marketing activities, by following Code of Conduct, Policies & Procedures, and performing activities in line with PM Marketing Code.
Ensure quality of execution and deployment excellence standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in HORECA.
- Project management skills & extensive communication skills.
