Engineering and Support Manager

Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking an Engineering and Support Manager to join our existing Technology Team in the Headquarter located in Dubai, UAE. The Engineering and Support Manager is responsible for managing the day to day working of the Broadcast Engineering Support department in a hands‐on capacity, providing solution centric approach, support and train Broadcast Support engineers and seniors for optimizing efficiency and effectiveness of Inter-operable systems and team activity. Ability to take holistic decisions in such areas as equipment maintenance, installation, repair of anything from the end-to-end Broadcast Infrastructure, and the technicians who accomplish these tasks.

Requirements

• Experience of working in a highly pressurised environment where it is business critical that networks are up and running 24x7 due to the nature of the broadcast industry.
• Expert in Broadcast & IT systems of the News, Programs Entertainment Industry and Broadcasting Technology would be a distinct advantage. For example, understanding how Systems architecture and framework of micro services architecture for content acquired, produced, transmitted, and consumed.
• Previous experience in various television station positions involving production/operations/remote experience
• Working knowledge of modern digital television Technology & operations roles with skills of broadcast IT software / hardware with the latest technologies and trends.
• Combined experience in Human Resources, facilities coordination and/or studio operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership capabilities with modern digital tools and workflows.
• Detail oriented with a logical mind and good organizational and scheduling abilities
• 15+ years’ experience in different broadcast Support roles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic will be an advantage.
• The ability to Manage Broadcast engineering IT Systems and engineers, technicians with strong leadership skills and ability to delegate and manage tasks considering Risk factors of decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science or Engineering Degree preferred.
• Additional certification of Broadcast systems or Networks, MS Systems, PMP,
• Drawings update of Autocad, Visio or similar knowledge
