Core Description:
The Director e-Commerce is responsible for the profitable growth of Coty`s e-commerce business in MEA, which spans existing and new Pure Players (including Amazon) as well as Brick & Click retailers (hand-in-hand with Sales team). The Director e-Commerce defines the local e-commerce strategies and plans, building on a deep understanding of the target consumer on-line, the different e-retailers` strengths and opportunity areas, as well as the business unit`s overall priorities, and directly manages the leading Pure Player e-retailer accounts for Coty MEA (i. Amazon, Noon, Lifestyle, Namshi, Boutiqaat, Ounass…).
The individual leads a multi-functional team organized around the key channel needs of e-commerce, which includes the Account Managers for Pure Play e-retailers, the Account Managers for the online business of Brick & Click retailers, as well as Trade Marketing for the channel (i.e. Content/Merchandising, CARS, e-Retail Media, etc). The Director of e-Commerce is also responsible to ensure all key stakeholders in Marketing, Media, Supply Chain and Finance understand the needs of e-Commerce and contribute to the success of Coty in e-Commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of all local e-commerce KPI`s (NR, C1, C2, % penetration online, CARS, Supply KPI’s, ROAS).
- Own Pure Player e-retailer P&L’s, including all trade spend and media budgets, ensuring optimal ROI.
- Define the local e-retailer / channel strategies, including online distribution expansion (SDA & FH compliant).
- Secure strong Joint Business Plans with all e-retailers and execute them with operational excellence.
- Manage and direct the e-Commerce multi-functional team (`Power of One`).
- Articulate the key needs of e-commerce back to the key stakeholders in the Russia BU (Marketing, Media, SC).
- Work effectively with Global e-commerce team on authorizing new distribution and FH approval for activations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Russia e-Commerce and Coty’s Global e-commerce leadership.
- Own local e-retailer innovations that will accelerate our business growth on-line.
- Own local reporting of e-commerce results and KPI`s.
- Manages the eCommerce MEA team (3 to 4 FTE in Dubai, 1 FTE in SA)
Application Pre-Requisites:
- 10+ experience in Sales/Trade marketing
- Including ideally 5+ years e-commerce experience with proven results to successfully grow businesses on-line
- Affinity with Beauty. Prior beauty category experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
- Fluent in English to enable a strong collaboration with Global e-commerce team & other local affiliates

- Strong negotiating skills with the ability to influence up one or more levels in the customer organization
- Ability to effectively resolve competing priorities for team and customer, or for the team and other functions
- Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment
- Ability to develop reporting staff to full potentials and to build leaders for the future
- Ability to create and transfer a selling strategy to address all market customers and channels with a long-term horizon of the future state of the business
