We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our retail store. Your role will involve assisting with day-to-day operations, managing staff, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process of new employees
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory levels, ensuring accurate record keeping and timely replenishment
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
  • Address customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with creating and implementing store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all staff members
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and goals by actively promoting products and driving sales
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to the team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends and patterns
  • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
