Job Description

Major accountabilities:

  • Responsible for forecasting & sales-in phasing plans that achieves company’s topline and bottom-line.
  • Follow up sales-out plans by giving guidance to the distributors and on how to increase levels of market access for private and institutional sectors.
  • Arrange and submit for tenders by offering competitive yet profitable prices putting in mind competitor and market situation linked to purchase power
  • Check for market opportunities and strengthen the collaboration with major governmental accounts as well as distributing Sandoz portfolio in private hospitals and pharmacies to create brand recognition.
  • Build solid business relationships with key stakeholders in MOH such as financial & technical committee to ensure their full awareness of Sandoz portfolio and its advantage edge through effective communications and cultural awareness.
  • Conduct marketing plans and activities to increase the brand awareness and company positioning with the consideration of budget vs revenue.
  • Set the supply prices per product, commercial discount, percent of FOC and incentive scheme for the distributors in a way that maintains company’s profit and suits market affordability at the same time.
  • Understanding of banking systems and payment techniques by the central banks including the whole process of issuing letters of credit, and how to amend the terms & conditions of each LC to cope with Sandoz financial and supply chain terms, and communicating with all banks in the process to ensure payments are in full and on time (applicant, conforming and beneficiary banks)
  • Collaborate with new launch, quality and regulatory teams in affiliate country and Sandoz d.d as the supplier of goods and owner of the contract.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with Sandoz distributors to discuss in detail the implementation of the strategy, forecasting, market analysis and feedback, sales-in & out, Inventory management, field force follow up and discussing plans of expansion.
  • To make sure that distributors attended, well received, and followed Sandoz quality and pharmacovigilance trainings.
  • Collaborate and liaise between SC team in affiliate country, and Sandoz d.d to place orders, with considerations to supply lead time, MOQ, and batch sizes to make sure all deliveries will be done to final customers in full amounts and within LC validity.
  • Put detailed shipping instructions for each shipment and make sure that all required documents are correctly following destination country law and LC condition,
  • Review and advise to amend - if necessary - all drafts of Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of origin, bills of lading, airway bills, shipping line declarations, export declarations, certificates of inspection, & chamber of commerce declarations to ensure all documents are ok and accepted.
  • Make sure that completion of shipment documents and deliveries to the beneficiary, conforming and applicant banks are done on time to get goods release in port of destination and minimize the demurrage period.
  • Conduct a biweekly follow up call & open order tracking workshop with Sandoz d.d, manufacturing sites and affiliate country SC teams to discuss the updates and take quick decisions to resolve any milestones that may appear.
  • Engage with target country MOH, distributors and Sandoz RA/QA departments to materialize the project of the registration of Sandoz SKUs and/or manufacturing sites to be an approved supplier by the country MOH.
  • Follow up that all required registration documents are issued and stamped form sites, notarized from country of origin, then to follow up with documents legalization through effective communication, and finally the complete set of documents is submitted to MOH for site inspection date and get the final site registration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong Pharmaceutical experience (at least 5 years in managerial roles) in commercial &/or marketing &/or market access within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of the health economics environment and the ability to translate outcomes to the local environment.
  • Libya experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Strong cross functional leadership.
  • Significant account management experience.
