Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to contributing to the definition of the strategy for the business unit.

Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsi-bility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed. Maintaining constant contact with relevant other managers and controllers regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.

The work model for this role (onsite)

This role is contributing to Electrification Business Area in Smart Building Division based in Cairo Egypt.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets. Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility
  • Evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, building scenarios and recommending actions.
  • Monitoring progress achieved and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifying issues and advising management on ac-tion plans and operational strategies to resolve. Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Managing and closely monitoring the cash flow and taking action improving Net Working Capital.
  • Assessing business risk exposure and defining risk mitigation strategies to re-duce impact on business performance. Ensuring risk management processes are consistently implemented in own area of responsibility.
  • Identifying and communicating commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.
  • Contributing to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed.
  • Maintaining constant contact with relevant other managers and Controllers regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.
  • Leading, providing guiding and facilitating best practice sharing between Local Business Controllers within own area of responsibility ensuring alignment and consistency of controlling practices. Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant Local/Country/Division/Region Controllers, Finance Group functions and other internal customers identifying and discussing issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Defining and implementing internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines. Supporting internal and external audits. Signing off Assurance letter for the area of responsibility.
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary in obtaining trans-parent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.


Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accounting
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Planning for business budgeting and forecasting results.
  • Able to think strategically and set goals to achieve local and global strategies.
  • Working in close collaboration with Nigeria Management Organization
  • Microsoft office package, ERP SAP, Leadership skills, presentation skills, communication skills, ability to drive change.
  • Fluent in English & Arabic.
