Our client is a leading distributor established in 2002 in Dubai, UAE. They specialize in sales, marketing, and logistics within the FMCG sector in the Middle East. They manage multinational brands across various channels and categories, focusing on brand building and awareness.
They are currently on the lookout for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team in Dubai.
Position Overview:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, safety compliance, and team leadership. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse, maintaining accurate inventory records, implementing best practices to optimize operational efficiency.
Competent in communicating with all departments (HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Logistics) by developing monthly and weekly reports for the warehouse business cycle achievements, challenges and creating solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, return management, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
- Build a good relation with all key receiving teams.
- Manage Warehouse Staff Welfare including accommodation.
2. Inventory Management:
- Implement inventory control measures to accurately track inventory levels and minimize shrinkage.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
3. Logistics and Transportation:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling deliveries and managing transportation providers.
- Ensuring max 48 hours lead time to local retail customers.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to minimize handling and transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Managing our vehicle fleet maintenance operations.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of warehouse personnel.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.
