About The Role
 
  • Performing quantities take off and preparing Bills of Quantities by studying drawings and specification sheets.
  • Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and produce cost plans.
  • Valuating construction works and production of interim and final payment recommendations.
  • Valuing of changes and variations.
  • Make sure that all costs and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order. 
  • Delivering high quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet customers’ requirements deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.
  • Assembling contract documentation.
  • Advising on and implementing procurement strategies, risk management and cost-saving measures.
  • Producing and presenting reports to the clients.
  • Leading, mentoring, guiding, and contributing to the training of Cost Management team.
 

About The Candidate
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. 
  • 5+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in different aspects of quantity surveying and construction methods and materials.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively and identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and cost planning techniques.
  • Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Be able to work as part of team
