Role Purpose:
Manage and maintain business relationships to successfully accomplish plans and objectives of the department. Lead on researching, developing, and implementing solutions to business owners, aiming to bridge the gap between technology and business and to effectively connect business owners with emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership Management:
- Review and prioritize the requests from the business to ensure they align to wider DCT initiatives regarding technologies, experience, simplification, and mandated initiatives.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and/or act as the focal point of contact between end-users and technology department, ensuring business needs are effectively translated into technology products and solutions.
- Provide strategic and consultative services to support in identifying technology solutions and ideas to address pain points for the tourism and cultures sectors in Abu Dhabi and improve the visitor journey across various touchpoints.
- Lead the evaluation and analysis of requests from the business to ensure alignment with broader DCT strategic initiatives including technology, experience simplification, and other mandated activities.
- Provide professional, business-focused services to assigned sectors through building strong working relationships with stakeholders based on credibility and open communication.
- Work closely with the business and manage inquiries and requests from stakeholders with a high level of personalized service to translate their needs into effective functional requirement in order to ensure that their KPIs and met within the identified timely manner.
- Maintain high levels of planning and organization, identify areas of improvement, and implement strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
- Lead on producing RFPs/RFIs/RFQs based on approved requirements and support in vendor selection in collaboration with business units, procurement, and Technology vendor management.
- Lead on technology budget planning, monitoring, and reporting for assigned business units or projects in-line with the defined objectives.
- Stay up-to-date and engage in field research for new solutions and evaluate existing ones.

Strategic Contribution:
- Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies.
People Management:
- Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the Section by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize performance.
- Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned section, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
- Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned section to foster a value driven culture within the organization.
Budgeting and Financial Planning:
- Manage the preparation and recommend the section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting:
- Ensure that all section reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet DCT requirements, policies and quality standards.
