Job Title: Waiter

Location: Ajman

Job Summary:

The Waiter is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests by providing efficient and attentive service. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. The Waiter must possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

  • Greet and welcome guests, providing menus and making them feel comfortable.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.


2. Order Management:

  • Input orders into the POS system and communicate any special requests to the kitchen.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt delivery of orders.
  • Ensure that all orders are correct and meet the restaurants quality standards.


3. Table Management:

  • Maintain a clean and organized table setting, including removing used dishes and refilling beverages.
  • Monitor assigned tables to anticipate guest needs and provide prompt service.
  • Reset tables for the next seating.


4. Guest Relations and Complaint Handling:

  • Address guest questions regarding the menu, daily specials, or dietary concerns.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues politely and promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Ensure that guests have a positive experience and express appreciation for their patronage.


5. Billing and Payment Processing:

  • Present checks and process payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods according to restaurant policies.
  • Provide guests with accurate receipts and change.


6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with other waitstaff, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist fellow team members during busy times by helping to serve food, refill drinks, or clear tables.
  • Maintain a professional and collaborative attitude in all interactions with team members.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a waiter or in a similar customer service role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items and drinks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
