Job Purpose

ENBD Business Banking was created as a distinct vertical to handle all “non-individual” relationships within RBWM Business Banking. It has always prioritized placing customers on suitable platforms to deliver optimal products & services.

Trade Finance plays a crucial role for Business Banking clients, with a significant portion of Emirates NBD’s customers utilizing trade finance products. The inclusion of trade advisory and sales greatly enhances the value of the Business Banking offering.

As a Senior Relationship Manager (Assets) – Business Banking, your role involves acquiring new client relationships via Relationship Officers, upgrading clients from the mass segment, and maintaining and growing existing relationships. Responsibilities include meeting revenue targets for Assets and cross-sell, achieving high service standards, maximizing client satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with UAE Central Bank and anti-money laundering regulations.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing portfolios that meet the bank’s specified targets. This role presents an exciting opportunity to excel in relationship management within our esteemed banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all annual business goals, including revenue, profit, asset and deposit growth, customer acquisition, cross-selling and guiding Relationship Officers on sales opportunities.
  • Cultivate and expand accounts initiated by Relationship Officers, converting them into profitable ventures, while maximizing market penetration and focusing on enhancing the asset & revenue portfolio through existing customers, and offering timely advisory services on Trade & Treasury products.
  • Ensure minimal turnaround times and service excellence, maintain comprehensive knowledge of SME banking, assist clients with trade, asset, insurance and investment issues, and regularly monitor client satisfaction and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational risk, sales, credit and anti-mis-selling policies; maintain up-to-date KYC and client profiles with high confidentiality; assess customer risk and product suitability; safeguard Emirates NBD’s reputation through best practices; document meetings and contribute to team reporting; and adhere to credit lending, money laundering prevention, and KYC procedures, reporting any suspicious transaction immediately.

Requirements

  • Education
  • Graduate, preferably Business/Finance/Accounting
  • Experiences
  • 5+ years of banking experience preferably in a Relationship Manager role.
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • English, while knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of banking operations.
  • Adherence to policies, procedure & compliance regulations.
