Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in the MEP industry within the UAE, and will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services required for our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for various MEP projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure the best possible pricing and quality.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure they align with project budgets. Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and ensure the procurement process aligns with project timelines and goals.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, new products, and potential suppliers to continuously improve the procurement process.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of procurement experience in the MEP industry within the UAE is essential.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP materials, suppliers, and market trends in the UAE.
