JOB Summary



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize supply chain operations in Dubai and across the Eastern Hemisphere for Canrig. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement, inventory management, and international logistics, and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout our supply chain network.

 



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Procurement Management:

•       Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely supply of materials and products.

•       Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on cost savings, quality, and timely delivery.

•       Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and company standards.

•       Identify and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing and supply.

•       Support Strategic Sourcing group in finding and qualifying new vendors to support Canrig local/regional sourcing initiatives.

•       Lead and execute Cost Management Initiatives to achieve objectives resulting in cost improvement and process optimization

Inventory Management:

•       Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple locations.

•       Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve inventory turnover rates.

•       Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

•       Collaborate with sales, production, and finance teams to align inventory levels with business goals.

•       Provides materials planning and control subject matter expertise to leadership.

•     Oversee planning activities such as review of forecasts generated by inventory planning tools, ensuring that regular inventory planning meetings are held and that actions arising from these meetings are executed.

 

International Logistics:

•       Manage the logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods across countries and borders.

•       Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to optimize shipping routes and costs.

•       Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import/export documentation and customs requirements.

•       Resolve any logistical issues that may arise, minimizing disruptions to the supply chain.

•       Oversees complete logistics process cycle to include execution of proper documentation for domestic and international movement.

•       Reviews service level agreements and identifies where improvements are needed. Collects and analyzes data to use in Quarterly Business Reviews.

•       Understanding of contracts and Incoterms. Develops and implements logistics strategies in line with area and region initiatives. Seeks alternative ways to improve the moves and logistics services for the economic benefit of the Co.

Operational Excellence:

•       Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

•     Implement best practices in supply chain management, including lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems.

•       Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of supply chain activities.

•       Lead cross-functional teams in supply chain projects aimed at process improvement and cost reduction.

Team Leadership and Development:

•       Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

•       Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives and providing feedback to team members.

•       Ensure the team is well-versed in supply chain trends, tools, and best practices.

•       Responsible for various managerial functions including interviewing applicants, training employees, directing and assessing subordinate work, performance management, setting work schedules, and handling employee grievances.

•       Responsible for making decisions regarding the hiring and releasing of employees. Responsible for the overall healthy balance sheet, margin improvement, talent management, compliance, and process efficiency to establish supply chain as the trusted business partner of its stakeholders

Stakeholder Collaboration:

•       Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, finance, sales, and marketing, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.

•       Act as the primary point of contact for supply chain issues and provide solutions that support overall business goals.

•       Work closely with regional teams to understand market dynamics and adjust supply chain strategies accordingly.
