Job Description

Job Summary

The role will report to the Ramp Team Leader and will be responsible for SAFE ground handling activities and processes for BT flights including cargo movements, crew logistics, and relevant tasks of operations. He/She will be responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of communication and reporting information.

Responsibilities

  • Complete SAFE flight operations for unload/load including ground servicing activities and related ramp activities within ground time of scheduled, contingency and ADHOC flights in DXB/SHJ/DWC and other airports in UAE.
  • Enforce & monitors SAFETY practices and procedures during ramp operations.
  • Collaborate with the team (UPS and Vendor) to plan resource requirement for flight handling.
  • Coordinate with load planning, inbound/outbound volume processing to meet load planning efficiency goals and safe aircraft ground servicing with on-time flight departure.
  • Coordinate import and export cargo movements and related tasks including truck movements to SHJ/DWC/AUH.
  • Responds to customer queries and related matters.
  • Perform weekly ULD inventory and audits.
  • Facilitate and monitor crew logistics (hotel bookings, transportation and catering) and assist on related matters.
  • Provide reports and measurements required pertaining to department goals/objectives.
  • Collaborate on monthly regulatory audits for safety and compliance, prepare for Airline Internal Audits. Review depth of knowledge of employees to ensure the understanding of procedures.
  • Assist management in resolving individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS policies and procedures in a timely manner to help motivate and foster teamwork.
  • Assist with coordination with CHSP activities to educate employees and attend employee safety meetings to review strategies for accident/injury prevention.

Qualifications

  • High level of communication skills (writing and speaking English language)
  • Completes work with attention to detail and maintains records and information in an organized manner.
  • Must know Airline procedures, audit programs, and governing bodies.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of Gateway experience in flight handling.
  • High-level MS Office, computer, and administrative skills. (MS Excel experience and PowerPoint is a must).
  • Able to work under inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be flexible in working hours.
  • Must be professional and lead the team with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Able to work under pressure and with short deadlines.
  • CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT POSSESS THE ABOVE LISTED QUALIFICATIONS / CANDIDATES WHO ARE LESS THAN SIX MONTHS IN THEIR PRESENT ROLES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
