Bilingual Inspector

Job Description

• Participate as a team member in DSIB school inspections. Take responsibility for inspecting:
• Arabic and Islamic education
• parts of the inspection framework that require specialist knowledge of Islamic and local culture and tradition
  
  

and ensure that the inspection of these is carried out efficiently to the expected quality, and that findings are reported clearly.

• Provide contingency cover for inspections in Arabic and Islamic education when other inspectors are not available.
• Translate documents accurately into English and act as interpreter, as necessary. [Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.]
• Support new associate and general inspectors to improve their inspection skills and performance.
• Contribute to the professional training of inspectors as directed by senior colleagues.
• Contribute to areas of operation or research, within DSIB and the wider sections of KHDA, according to the area of expertise, as directed and approved by the Chief Executive Officer of DSIB
  
  

Qualifications

Master's degree in education, bilingual education, or a related field; minimum 5 years of experience in bilingual education; fluency in both English and the target language; strong understanding of bilingual education theories, methodologies, and best practices; effective communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills; bilingual education certifications or specialized training in relevant areas; familiarity with local and national bilingual education regulations and standards.
