This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to provide best in class technical and commercial sales activities, be the technical domain expertise and go-to person for internal and external customers, select and identify the best fit and cost-efficient solutions to meet customer requirements. Value-based offerings to ensure ABB is well positioned to win matching customer needs.

The work model for this role (onsite)

This role is contributing to Motion Business Area based in Cairo Egypt.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Independently selecting the product and knowhow of complete offering portfolio be the go-to person for sales for technically complex cases and larger projects where product management expertise is required.
  • Preparation of marketing material for digital offerings, advanced s and value proposition

offerings.

  • Ensuring complete and timely quotes, average response time for offers shall not exceed 2 days.
  • Preparing technical and commercial offers for standard products and discussing with customer to finalize orders.
  • Updating databases- (Customer, Supplier, Risk Review, ABB install base tools) coordinating with sales team ensuring on time order booking, time sheet entry and revenues.
  • Co-ordinating with partners for training, price list, offers and orders. Participating in conferences, workshops, lunch and learn sessions and conducting training sessions for customers and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting order handlers and project managers in execution where applicable and providing support for receivables collection
  • High availability and responsiveness beyond working hours to support critical customer re-quests such as emergency shutdowns, warranty cases, failures, and related immediate support requests.
  • Professional update for SFDC and sales tools to ensure proper sales pipeline management.
  • Proper documentation for orders and contracts ensuring professional hand over to operations.
  • Contributing to sales winning strategy with best-in-class sales and technical support.
  • Preparing FCM and costing sheets in full alignment with sales, operations, SCM and controlling.
  • Working closely with sales in formulating strategies.
  • Strong collaboration with all business functions like SCM, Controlling HSE and operations.
  • Support in identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Set winning strategies, pricing, margins according to Division and Business Area Strategy.
  • Defining, recording, and archiving account plans for assigned accounts including player maps, contacts, risks, opportunities, challenges, and future investment plans in full coordination with sales team.
  • Support selling the full portfolio.


Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical
  • 2 to 3 years years of experience in sales and electrical motor background is a must with comprehensive technical understanding of Motion portfolio for Cement , oil and gas water and waste water metal in-dustry.
  • Understanding of commercial terms and conditions – defending and negotiating profitable and risk-free contracts as per ABB guidelines.
  • Preferably some knowledge about drive-motor communication protocols to support development of power train and ABB Ability offerings.
  • Strong understanding of motors & drive as a system
