We are partnering with a leading independent agency and are seeking a Business Director to be based in Dubai. The successful candidate will shape the future of high-profile entertainment and Retail/FMCG accounts. Working closely with creative teams, production staff, and the new business team, the Business Director will play a pivotal role in driving growth and maintaining a strong, profitable client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and strengthen client relationships, ensuring the delivery of strategic and creative solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Creative teams to craft impactful communication briefs and guide the strategic direction of creative work.
  • Oversee account profitability, identify opportunities for revenue growth, and allocate resources effectively to maximize success.
  • Manage contracts and fees in coordination with the Head of Client Services and Commercial Director, ensuring the financial health of the business.
  • Inspire and mentor your team, promoting professional development, while leading cross-functional teams across the agency.
  • Report key financial and performance metrics to senior leadership and ensure smooth operations by managing agency systems.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and assist with recruitment efforts for the Client Services team.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including agency leadership, account planners, creative directors, and finance.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as client marketing teams, procurement, and partner agencies within the client's roster.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional groups across the agency.
  • Expertise in translating client needs into effective communication briefs and steering the strategic direction of creative efforts.
  • Strong background in managing and growing client relationships, ensuring account profitability, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Experience handling account budgets, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with finance teams to ensure financial stability.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly convey strategies and creative concepts to both clients and internal teams.
  • A proactive mindset, adept at identifying challenges and opportunities, with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
