The American University in the Emirates is searching for an Admission Officer who will serve as the principal source of registration of students to the University and keep maintenance of academic records from registration to graduation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 3 to 5 years practical experience in a university
  • Preferably bilingual (speaks English and Arabic fluently)

Skills / Training / Knowledge

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very high degree of independence, responsibility, and judgment.
  • Maintains a professional image and relationships with faculty/students and all stakeholders.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, implementing and monitoring Policies and Procedures
  • Must maintain confidentiality

Job Description

  • Assist in processing all registration functions such as, but not limited to: confirmation of enrollment letters, registration of new and returning student, add/drop, withdrawals processes.
  • Respond to student’s email and telephone calls.
  • Respond to requests for information and provides assistance
  • Generate student ID cards
  • Maintain effective front-desk operations for Registration department
  • Maintain a follow-up with students on their missing documents
  • Participate in students’ orientation every semester
  • Filling and updating student’s records
  • Oversees the standardized tests which are conducted at the university
  • Participate in local exhibitions and school visit
  • Prepare and provide reports as requested by the supervisors
  • Identify and secure funding from various sources to support the University mission in line with the university advancement and fundraising plan.
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
  • Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors
