Pathologist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pathologist to join our growing team. As a Pathologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnostics and treatment of diseases and conditions through the analysis and examination of tissue samples, fluids, and other specimens.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue
• Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests, such as histopathology, cytology, and molecular pathology
• Interpret test results to determine the presence and severity of disease
• Consult with other medical professionals to discuss diagnosis and treatment plans
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in pathology
• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Oversee and train laboratory staff, including medical technologists and technicians
• Participate in research studies and contribute to medical publications
  
  

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a pathology residency program
• Board certification by the American Board of Pathology
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where the position is located
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Effective communication skills with medical professionals and patients
